An Briathar do Dé Máirt, 30 Aibreán, 2024

An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Ná déanaigí goid ná calaois ná feall ar bhur gcomharsa.

Léivític 19:11

Dúirt Peadar le hAnainias:

Fad a bhí an talamh i do sheilbh, nár leat féin é? Agus tar éis duit é a dhíol nach raibh a luach faoi do réir agat? Cad ab áil leat an rud seo a bheartú i do chroí? Ní do dhaoine a thug tú an t-éitheach ach do Dhia.

Gníomhartha 5:4

Léivític 19 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

8 Aon duine a itheann í, bíodh deasca a pheaca air, mar go mbíonn naofacht an Tiarna truaillithe aige; gearrtar amach óna phobal an duine sin.
9 Ag baint an fhómhair de bhur n-ithir, ná bainigí go deireadh an cheann fearainn. Ná bailigh diasa an fhómhair.
10 Ní mó ná sin ba chóir duit d’fhiniúin a lomadh, ná na caora a thit i do fhíonghort a chnuasach. Fág ag an mbocht agus ag an deoraí iad. Mise an Tiarna bhur nDia.
11 Ná déanaigí goid ná calaois ná feall ar bhur gcomharsa.
12 Ná tugaigí leabhar éithigh dar m’ainm agus ainm do Dhé a thruailliú. Mise an Tiarna.
13 Ná déan leatrom ná slad ar do chomharsa. Ná coinnigh tuarastal an fhostaí thar oíche go maidin.
14 Ná cuir mallacht ar an mbalbhán, ná ceap tuisle ar chosán an daill, ach bíodh eagla do Dhé ort. Mise an Tiarna.

Gníomhartha 5 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

1 Ach bhí fear ann darbh ainm Anainias, é féin agus a bhean Saifíre. Dhíol sé a ghabháltas
2 agus, i bhfios dá bhean, choinnigh sé cuid den luach aige féin agus níor thug ach cuid de suas do na haspail.
3 Labhair Peadar leis: “A Anainias,” ar seisean, “cén fáth ar líon Sátan do chroí sa chaoi gur inis tú bréag don Spiorad Naomh agus cuid de luach na feirme a choinneáil agat féin.
4 Fad a bhí an talamh i do sheilbh, nár leat féin é? Agus tar éis duit é a dhíol nach raibh a luach faoi do réir agat? Cad ab áil leat an rud seo a bheartú i do chroí? Ní do dhaoine a thug tú an t-éitheach ach do Dhia.”
5 Ní luaithe an chaint sin cloiste ag Anainias ná thit sé marbh. Agus tháinig uamhan ar a raibh ag éisteacht.
6 Ansin d’éirigh na hógánaigh ina seasamh, chóirigh siad an corp, d’iompair amach é agus rinne é a adhlacadh.
7 Timpeall trí huaire a chloig ina dhiaidh sin tháinig an bhean isteach agus gan a fhios aici cad a bhí tite amach.

Acts 5:4

Léivític 19 (English Standard Version)

8 and everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned what is holy to the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from his people.
9 “When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest.
10 And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.
11 “You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.
12 You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.
13 “You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
14 You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

Gníomhartha 5 (English Standard Version)

1 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,
2 and with his wife's knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?
4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
5 When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last. And great fear came upon all who heard of it.
6 The young men rose and wrapped him up and carried him out and buried him.
7 After an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
